What is MyAlarm.Chat?
While nearly everyone has a cell phone, most of us have learned to ignore calls from unfamiliar numbers. But what if that number on your phone is your alarm monitoring company trying to notify you of a problem?
Now there is a solution. MyAlarm.Chat is an exclusive feature from Cops Monitoring that gives Delco Alarm System customers the ability to interact with central station quickly via SMS/texts. The feature gives customers the ability to reduce false alarms by electronically canceling alarms or improve response time by requesting immediate dispatch.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
If an alarm is received at Central Station, a SMS/text message is immediately sent to your designated contacts. The message will have a “DISPATCH” button which will immediately send the alarm to a dispatcher as “verified,” bypassing verification calls and expediting the response time.
The text will also include a link to a private and secure chat room. This feature gives customers the ability to text “All OK” and cancel an alarm electronically before it reaches a dispatcher. This greatly reduces false alarms.
Because SMS text messages are opened 98 percent of the time, MyAlarm.Chat gives customers a more reliable way to communicate with Central Station.
Features of MyAlarm.Chat
- Group communication, allows for a list of contacts to communicate the condition of the alarm.
- The cancel feature allows users to cancel an alarm within thirty seconds of receiving the text message using the required passcode. After 30 seconds, the dispatch procedure will begin.
